Global Warming, isn’t it can be effect ice melting?

Global warming is the phenomenon that increase the average of atmosphere's temperature, ocean, and land earth. Global average temperature of the earth's surface increased 0.74 ± 0.18 °C over the last century. Most of the increase in temperature is caused by increased concentrations of greenhouse gases due to human activities, among which industrial waste directly without being processed, deliberate forest fires, air pollution caused by motor vehicle exhaust, etc (Malihah E 2012).

Concentration of greenhause gases on the atmosphere will cause the reaction between CO2 (carbon dioxide) and O3 (ozone) so that the bonds between the molecules of ozone will be detached and make ozone layer continues to thin. The ozone layer is supposed to function as a protector of the earth from ultraviolet (UV) radiation emitted by the sun.
UV radiation reaching the earth are 90-99% UVA (320-400nm), 1-10% UVB (280-320nm), while UVC (200-280nm) is absorbed by the ozone layer. This makes the radiation is not harmful to life on earth (Utami AN 2009).

But excessive UV radiation due to the depletion of the ozone layer can increase the average temperature at sea level which will cause melting of polar ice triggering sea level rise on average. The data from Intergovermental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) states that since 1990 the sea level rise of 2mm per year and in the year 2300 could reach 1m per year.

Basically, water is an essential thing for life on this earth. However, if the avaibility of water is excessive it can lead to bad things, like global flood disaster that could drown the islands, the death of marine life, the disappearance of habitat for polar bears, and if this continues, all life on the earth will be destroyed.

How all life in this earth can be survive if humans continue to do damage on this earth. Until then, why we do not try to prevent it? Earth is where we live, let us save the earth. Because humans needs the earth, but the earth does not need humans.
